RTS Futures 48 Film Challenge
Valerie co-wrote 'Tomorrow' with Producer Luke Davies which was written, shot and edited in 48 hours. The finished film was nominated for a Royal Television Society Award.
Inspector Hector Crime Detector
This short play was staged by Bluestocking Theatre Company at 53Two Theatre in Manchester. Starring (L-R) Saskia Pay, Victoria Tunnah & Kivan Dene and directed by Leni Murphy. The play was recently selected by The Cheshire Prize for Literature to be published in their anthology 'Humankind'

BIRKENHEAD BANDITS
Valerie pitched an idea for a feature film at a BFI event in London and was encouraged to write it by the panelists. The finished script made the quarter final of the prestigious Austin Screenplay Contest in America, and Valerie subsequently created a one minute concept trailer for the film in conjunction with Liverpool John Moores University.
Birkenhead Bandits follows
a group of friends who embark on a non-violent crime spree, acting as modern-day Robin Hoods.

Poems
Valerie's poem 'Idolatry' was a prize-winner in The Liverpool National Women's Day Poetry Competition,
and was published in L-Scene. Her poems have also been published in The Affectionate Punch and the In Praise of Poets Anthology by Anchor Books.
